Focus time

Focus time is a block held in the calendar for concentrated work rather than for a meeting. Its function is defensive: it occupies the slot so that scheduling software and colleagues see you as busy.

Where it goes wrong

A focus block with no specific work attached to it is the easiest thing in the calendar to give away, because giving it up costs nothing identifiable. Blocks that name the actual task survive contact with a meeting request; blocks labelled Focus do not.

Diarized schedules the work you already keep in a to-do app into the calendar you already use, and shows you why every block landed where it did.
