Most important task
The most important task, usually shortened to MIT, is the one thing that would make the day worthwhile if nothing else got done. The practice is to name it before the day starts and protect time for it.
Also called: MIT, daily highlight
Where it goes wrong
Naming it is the easy half and the half most methods stop at. If the MIT does not get a slot in the calendar it competes for attention with everything urgent, and urgency wins by default.
Diarized schedules the work you already keep in a to-do app into the calendar you already use, and shows you why every block landed where it did.
