Diarized

Glossary

The PARA method

PARA files everything you keep into four buckets according to how actionable it is: projects with an end date, areas you maintain indefinitely, resources you might want later, and archives of everything finished. Tiago Forte introduced it as the organising layer of Building a Second Brain.

Also called: PARA, projects areas resources archives

Where it goes wrong

PARA organises information and is sold as a way of organising work, which is a different problem. Moving a note out of Resources and into Projects does not reserve an hour to act on it. The four buckets also invite a judgement call, project or area, that people can spend longer relitigating than doing the thing would have taken.

Diarized schedules the work you already keep in a to-do app into the calendar you already use, and shows you why every block landed where it did.
